Meet Thaddeus

Part of the Commodore Stockton Skills School inaugural class, Thaddeus was inspired by his connections with teachers from the culturally diverse school. His choir teacher at Edison would later encourage him to chase his dreams.

While attending CSU Hayward, Thaddeus’ star rose in Northern California as a rapper/singer/producer professionally known as “Pismo.” After a string of successful independently released hip hop albums, Thaddeus moved to New York City, where he worked as lead composer for several of the nation’s top television and film music houses. His work included campaigns for McDonald’s, Cadillac and the NBA. He was featured on the soundtrack for Robert Downey Jr’s Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and worked with artists such as Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature, and Hieroglyphics. After touring internationally, Thaddeus continued his work, still creating today. Thaddeus also works in tech as an IT Service Management Manager for BDO, one of the world’s top five advisory firms.

As SUSD African American Black Parent Advisory Committee Chairman, Thaddeus helped significantly improve SUSD’s Local Control and Accountability Plan. Thaddeus’s leadership extends to his role as the Vice President of the Commodore School Site Council. In this position, he collaborates with administrators, teachers, and parents to enhance the School Plan for Student Achievement, fostering an environment where our students can thrive.

Thaddeus is a driving force behind SUSD’s “Dads & Dudes” initiative, a testament to his commitment to encouraging fathers to play a more active role in their students’ education.

Thaddeus’s greatest inspiration for running for Stockton Unified Trustee is his daughter, Makenna, who attends Commodore Stockton Skills School, where he attended K-8th grade.
